VIVEKANANDA
KENDRA VIDYALAYA, BADARPUR
Vivekananda Kendra is a spiritually oriented
non-profit making Service organization head quartered at Kanyakumari registered under society act of XXVI of
1960 (S. No. 34 of 1963), serving the Nation since 1972 with multifarious
activities like education, Rural Development,
Natural Resource Development,
Health care, Publications etc. As educational activity the Kendra runs
Vidyalayas in order to achieve the objective of ‘Man Making Nation Building’ as
envisioned by Swami Vivekananda. Presently there are 59 such Vidyalayas in
North-East India. Besides all our schools achieving excellent results in class
X & XII CBSE examinations students represented the Northeastern states in
National level in many occasions especially in the field of science, sports and
cultural events.
Vivekananda
Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Devendra Nagar, Badarpur was established in 2009.
Understanding the functioning of VKVs in unique way of imparting socio-cultural
and nationalistic education along with prescribed CBSE syllabus, BVCL Badarpurghat took the initiative to invite
Vivekananda Kendra to establish a Vidyalaya for which BVCL has donated a plot
of land of 10 Bighas (approx.) along
with a block of 6 class rooms, two staff quarter and other initial necessary
facilities for starting the school. BVCL is also committed to help
substantially in future constructions.
VKV,
Badarpur has started its Pre-Primary Sections one at Self Defence Club of GRP
Colony in Badarpur Town from 2015-16 session and the other one at Annapurna
Road, Village/P.O: Katirail, Katigorah, Cachar,Assam from the session 2019-20.
Besides
academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities under the aegis of
Vivekenananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag (VKSPV) to help the children develop
their inherent faculties. The functioning of VKV Badarpur
is not only limited with the students of the school but reached out to students
of other schools of Badarpur locality and general public through various
science and mathematics based activities and other celebrations like
Vivekananda Jayanti, Rabindra Jayanti
etc. The Vidyalaya curriculum has
given top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values
for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for
serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizens in the long run.
