The Nibandha Lekhan Spardha (NLS) is an initiative designed to encourage students to enhance their reading, thinking, and creative writing abilities—vital skills that shape a well-rounded and expressive personality. Participation in this competition may also be assessed and awarded as a Subject Enrichment Activity in languages.

Themes & Sub-Topics
This year’s competition centers around two profound themes: Sister Nivedita and Youth Power.
Group: Junior Level (Classes VI – VIII)
Students may choose any one of the following sub-topics:
a) Inspiring Incidents from the Life of Sister Nivedita
b) My Inspiration: Sister Nivedita
c) Youth Power – The Need for an Awakened India
d) Contribution of Sister Nivedita to the Preservation of Indian Culture
Topics: Senior Group (Class- IX to XII)
a) Karmayogi Sister Nivedita.
b) contribution of Sister Nivedita for women education in India. c) Sister Nivedita- How she inspired youth.
d) The way, the life and message of Swami Vivekananda transformed Sister Nivedita.
Rules & Guidelines:
Word Limit: 500-750 words
Topic Selection: Write on one of the assigned sub-topics listed above.
Format: Essays must be completed within the allocated time of 1.5 hours.

The top essays selected from schools will be evaluated at the VKSPV level to determine overall winners. Selected outstanding essays may also be published in prestigious journals!
