Gita Chanting Competition

The school has organized the Gita chanting competition in the school where students from different classes participated. Total of 27 sloka were chanted by memorizing. Lower grade children have memorized only 10 slokas. It was an amazing day for all of us to experience the bliss with our children who performed the activity with dedication. For half of the classes it will be organize tomorrow.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Badarpur celebrates the National Mathematics Day on 29th December 2021. Every year all over the country the National Mathematics Day is celebrated to honor the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, who was born on 22nd Dec 1887. In the morning assembly speech were delivered by student and teachers. Various activities like mathematics race, quiz, model making competition were conducted for the students of different class. To enlighten the students by the contribution of Ramanujan a video was shown before the starting of the activities.

Students of our Vidyalaya got prizes in Gita Shloka competition organised by Maharshi Sandipan Vidyapith.
Tapasya Dutta received 2nd prize in Group A, Nandika Bhattacharya and Subhadeep Dutta received 1st and 3rd position in Group B and Bohnishikha Bhattacharjee received 3rd position in Group C. Priyani Chanda and Aishani Bhattacharjee got the participation certificates.

event is focused to give the mother, who is the backbone of the family,
to open up with each other through various activities. Activities
included fun rhyming,
games, singing etc. Total 30 mothers were present and all together
including teachers children total 45 were present in today's Matri
Sammelan.

The auspicious day was celebrated in the Ramkrishana Mission, Karamganj and our students participated in drawing competitions and received the achievement certificates and trophies.

The program started by receiving the guests by band
troupe. Inauguration of our new building, the Computer Lab (by Sri. Bijoy
Garodia, Chairman BVCL), the Science Lab (by Sri. Bimalendu Roy, Saha
Sanchalak, VK Barak Vibhag) & the Library (by Sri. Pravin Dabholkar, All
India Treasurer of VK Kanyakumar) were done by our guests. The Coconut breaking
by Hon’ble Chief Guest by lightening the lamp with 3 Omkaras & Pradip
Prajwalan mantra.
Introduction & welcome of the guests were coordinated by Sri Bijan Sir, RAO, VKSPV. Welcome Speech was delivered by Sri Mukesh Agarwal, President, VDC VKV Badarpur. Speeches are delivered by Sri Vishwas Lapalkar, Prant Sangathak, (VK Bangal Prant, on Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas & Gensis of VKV Badarpur), by Sri. Santosh Bajaj, Director, BVCL, by Sri. Bijay Garodia, Chairman, BVCL. by Honorable MLA, Badarpur, by Sri. Pravin Dabholkar, All India Treasurer, VK Kanyakumari, on 50 Years of Sadhana of Vivekananda Kendra), by the Chief Guest- Sri Parimal Suklabaidya, Honorable Minister of Govt. Of Assam.
The program ended by some words of gratitude by our Head Master Sri. Prashanta Chakraborty, shanti mantra and National Anthem by band troop.
There were parents, press person, other well-wishers
and students present in this event. Small refreshments were arranged for all
present in the program.

"Sisters and Brothers of America" - Swami Vivekananda represented India and Hinduism at the Parliament of the World's Religions (1893). This was the first World's Parliament of Religions, and it was held from 11 to 27 September 1893.
This special day the Vidyalaya has celebrated the Universal Brotherhood Day through online mode. Students took part in various activities like Chicago speech competition in various classes, speech competition on the topic "work before us", dancing, poem recitation, singing.

This auspicious occasion we did some of the activities in our Vidyalaya. Students were given various task to perform to recall the great saint of Assam. Students have drawn the picture of Sankardev, where as some students shared their view about Sri Sankardev by sending their videos.
He lost his mother in the early age but it never stopped him to achieve his goal in life. Sankardev left a lasting mark on the religious and cultural life of Assam. He united the different castes and groups of people into one cultural unit through his wisdom. He established monasteries even in the remotest of villages and brought Bhakti to the common people.
The Vidyalaya has celebrated Teacher’s Day online due to the pandemic in the presence of our Vidyalaya Head, Teachers, and Students from all the classes. It was organized by our Class VIII, IX, and X students. Poems, singing, dancing, PowerPoint presentation, videos were some of the ways through which our students tried to show their respect and love for their teachers. It was very good and emotional to see the dedication of our children towards their teacher. All the students were blessed by their teachers for their successful carrier.

Like other years we couldn't celebrate the Krishna Janmashtami in our school. We have kept different competitions class-wise and celebrated the event online with our teachers, students, and parents. The participates show their dedication and devotion through their work which is being appreciated.

This year due to the pandemic students couldn't attend the occasion in school physically. Our teachers and students celebrated this at home by tying rakhi. Our students also prepared various types of colorful rakhis. In the picture below we can get the glimpse of the event.

Amidst the pandemic a few students reached the school campus to be a part of the 75th year of Independence on 15th Aug 2021. As offline activities were not possible so our students took part in various online activities and competitions. Teachers, students and parents also registered in rashtragan.in, uploaded their videos and received their certificates.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Badarpur celebrated the whole day with various types of activities. The activities were given to the students so that they can come close to nature, know it better and contribute towards safety with sustainable development. All the students did those activities from home with complete social distancing. Some images captured during their plantation of the sapling are shown below.
Bhasha Shahid Divas, 19th May 2021
The event was celebrated through the online mode. Active participation by the students, parents, and teachers makes this event memorable in the heart of all those who joined the program to remember the contributions and sacrifice done on this day in the year 1961.
As the pandemic is still there and students are not able to attend the classes physically, from VKV Badarpur, with the help of various platforms we are trying to distribute the knowledge on their doorsteps. A glimpse of online assembly can be seen below. Students are actively participating in both the assembly and all other classes which are being actively monitored by our parents. It was started on May 5th, 2021.
