Just
like another celebration we all enjoyed the celebration in our
respective houses by lightening the Diyas and making Rangoli. We are
happy to see everyone did their best to keep the environment green and
clean. We wish the future of everyone will be bright enough to light the
path of others in the right direction.
On 22nd October 2022, the Department of Earth Science, Assam University, Silchar in collaboration with the Paleontological Society of India, celebrated International Fossil Day, 2022.
Dr. Sudhir Shukla (VP, Paleontological Society of India,
Former GM (Geology), ONGCL) and Dr. Urbashi Sarkar (Assistant Professor,
Department of Earth Science, Assam University, Silchar) gave a lecture on
fossils, their occurrence, and their use in exploration and their impact in our
society. They also encouraged students to consider the subject of Paleontology
as a career option. And brought awareness about the subject to the young minds
Lastly, they also had a question-answer session with the students where students
got an opportunity to interact and ask their doubts.
The Vidyalaya Observed the Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti with a special performance by the teachers dedicated to the Devi Durga. Vidyalaya also organized the speech competition between various groups to improve the communication skills and debate competition to improve the knowledgge and confidence of the students. The observation ended with special wishes from Prishanta Sir, Vidyalaya Head, with everyone taking the pledge to improve all the drawbacks they have and will join the Vidyalaya after puja vacation with a positive attitude.
