International Day of Yoga: 21st June 2017

Students are doing Yoga

International day of yoga has been celebrated in VKV, Badarpur on 21^st June 2017 with extreme enthusiasm. The students exhibited their active participation on the Yoga workshop which was being conducted by school authority. Some of the students were instructing various forms of Asanas and Pranayam where as few more were demonstrating according to the instruction.

One of the teachers of our school Sri Soumyajit Dhar delivered speech on the significance of the International Day of Yoga. In the addition to that he added the benefits of doing Yoga on everyday basis.

Nevertheless, rest of the students were also accompanying and following various postures which were made by demonstration

World Environment Day celebrated through Extempore Speech Competition

On 5th June 2017 VKV Badarpur has organised extempore speech competition for Junior and Senior students. Class - IV to VI students gave speech on different topics on Environment in Hindi and the senior students of Class VII onwards gave speech on different topics in English.

Personality Development Camp 2017

A five day non-residential Personal Development Camp was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Badarpur at Anandadham Kalibari, Badarpur, from 23 May’17 to 27 May’17, where 42 students attendend. Apart from VKV Badarpur, 5 other school student also participated in that camp. The program was inaugurated in the presence of Sree Chinmoy Boruah, Nagar pramukh, Badarpur, Sree Niharanjan Das, a teacher of Maharshi Sandipan school and Sree Prashanta Chakraborty, Headmaster VKV Badarpur.

Every day from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm different activities started from Pratahsmaran to Kendra Prarthana, along with various Boudhik satras, Manthans, Karyashalas, Yogabhyas, Geetabhyas and sanskar Varga were followed.

 The topic of the Boudhik Satras were:  “Our Ideal Swami Vivekananda”

                                                               “Mananiya Eknathji and his leadership”

                                                               “Bharatiya Sanskriti”

                                                               “Adarsha SanskarVarga

 And the related Manthan / Karyashalas were :

                                                              “Patriotism in practice”

                                                              “Leadership”

                                                              “Health and hygiene”

                                                              “Team Building” Respectively.

 On 27^th May’17 at 2:00 pm the Samarpan samaroh was followed in presence of various dignitaries and parents of those students. The dignitaries were- (1) Sree Ahindra Das, teacher of Rly High school, (2) Sree Shitish Ranjan Das, Headmaster of Pramodini Vidyanikitan School, Kalinagar , (3) Sree Bishwa Baran Boruah a senior Advocate of Karimganj Judge Court. All of them were very happy for those steps taken for the children and have put light upon the importance of those camps and those habits that build our character.

                                       The program concluded with Kendra Prarthana.

BHASHA SAHID DIWAS - 19 May 2017

On the occasion of Bhasha Sahid Diwas we had started our observation with mangalacharan, then our student paid tribute to the martyrs by offering flowers  and lightening eleven lamps. After that a well-known Teacher of Rly. H.S School, Badarpur Sri Ahindra Das has given a speech. He told us about the significance of the day. Then one of our students Arup Chakraborty had delivered a speech about the day. Few of our students sang a patriotic song in the memory of the martyrs.

Rabindra Jayanti Celebration 2017

           On 9 May 2017 (25th of Baisakh), our school has organised Rabindra Jayanti in a befitting manner. On that day two competitions were held, one was Class wise Recitation Competition, where four groups were there. Class I & II were in  1^st group,  class III & IV were in 2^nd group, class V, VI & VII were in 3^rd group and class VIII & IX were in 4^th group. Students  from Class I to Class VII had recited Bengali poems, where as Class VIII and IX had recited English poems of Rabindranath  Tagore.

The other one was ‘House Wise’ group song (Rabindra Sangeet) competition, our four groups- Aagney House, Eeshan House, Nairrty House and Vaayvy House had perticipited. In this competition Nairrty house and Aagney house got the 1^st & 2^nd position respectively.

Apart form these competition our three students and a teacher, had given speech about Rabindranath Tagore.
 

 

Vidyarambha and Barsharambha Ceremony with Gayatri Yagna

On 24th April VKV Badarpur has organised Vidyarambha and Barsharambha Ceremony (a yearly feature) in the school for the session 2017-18. On that day a scholar from Haridwar of Gayatri Pariwar has conducted the Yagna in presence of Students, Parents and teachers of the school. The speaker has explained the importance of the day and also sung some bhajans. The programme was ended with the distribution of Prasad.
